Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) sold 12,965 units in May 2015 compared to 13,228 units in May 2014. The company exported 1,448 units of Etios series this month
.
Despite production shut down for two days this month, in the domestic market, TKM sold 11,511 units in May 2015 as compared to 11,831 units in May 2014. There was limited production this month on account of planned annual plant shut down scheduled from 29th May to 6th June, for regular maintenance. The impact will thus be felt in the next month’s production as well.
The Etios series has constantly been receiving good acceptance from the customers, since the launch of the new Etios and Liva in October, when the airbags were standardized across all grades (including the entry grades) of the Etios series.

The Etios series sales grew by 12% from October 2014 to May 2015 when compared to October 2013 to May 2014.

The All New Camry launched on 30th April, sold 107 units this month, thereby registering a growth of 51%, when compared to the same period last year. The company received 251 customer orders since launch which is 35% of the total Camry sales last year.

Mr. N Raja, Director and Senior Vice - President, Sales and Marketing said,"The newly launched Camry has shown great success and acceptance by customers this month. The Camry Hybrid constitutes 91% of the total Camry sales in May. The Hybrid market though still at a nascent stage is beginning to gain popularity among Indian customers. We would like to thank the customers for their response and also the Govt for the introduction of incentives under FAME. Camry is the first locally produced Hybrid vehicle to get the recognition from Govt for being an environment friendly vehicle. As committed the incentive of Rs 70,000/- in full has been passed on to the customer in line with our Customer First Philosophy.

We sold 11,511 units in the domestic market this month. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to our customers due to limited production on account of the planned shutdown. It is our endeavor to make the deliveries of vehicles on a timely basis. Until then, we seek our customer’s support and understanding."
