  • Japan's Suzuki Motor Corp said on Sunday it will buy back the 19.9 percent stake it sold to Volkswagen AG after an international arbitration court settled a dispute between the automakers over their failed partnership.Suzuki filed for international arbitration in November 2011, after Volkswagen refused to sell back the shares in Suzuki it acquired in January 2010 for 1.7 billion euros ($1.90 billion).   • Mahindra will launch the TUV300 compact SUV in India on September 10, 2015. Dealers have started accepting bookings for the car. The booking amount has been pegged at Rs. 20,000.The TUV300 will be powered by an mHawk diesel engine and will be available in manual and automated manual transmission version.(team-bhp)
  • Vikram Pawah, who was serving as the Assistant Vice President & Operating head of sales at Honda Cars India, has quit after two-decade stint with the Japanese automaker, a source informed ETAuto.However, when ETAuto contacted Pawah, he refused to comment on the development.At his current position he was responsible for pan-India sales , corporate sales, dealer quality, training and product planning functions.   • The Sumo utility vehicle from Tata Motors had been a popular choice in its segment. The vehicle indeed is a hot favorite in the commercial segment. As per reports from sources, Tata Motors has been working on developing the next-gen Sumo that is likely to be up on sale sometime in 2018. The company is likely to discontinue the existing model by 2017. The next-gen Tata Sumo is expected to be based on an all-new platform and may receive some inputs from the Land Rover's technology. (cartrade)
  • Hyundai Motor India, the country's second largest car manufacturer, has now introduced Audio Video Navigation System (AVN) with a 7 inch touch Screen in Elite i20 and i20 Active. This new feature will be available in top-end Asta (O) variant in Elite i20 and SX variant i20 Active. While the Elite i20 with the AVN feature will be available Rs 716,547 for petrol and Rs 828,496 for diesel, the i20 Active will be available at Rs 792,045 for petrol and Rs. 916,685 for diesel. (Etauto)
  • The better performing hatchback Polo GT has been silently launched by Volkswagen loaded with new interesting features. The company has launched the TSI and TDI variants with additional features cooled glove box, cruise control and electrically foldable ORVMs. The new feature loaded trims may cost an addition Rs 10,000 – Rs 15,000 over the current models.(cartrade)
