  • The Renault-Nissan Alliance today announced that Jérôme Olive has been appointed Alliance executive vice-president, Alliance Manufacturing Engineering & Supply Chain Management, effective August 1. Olive, currently senior vice-president, Manufacturing and Logistics Europe, Renault, replaces Shohei Kimura who will move to a new leadership position in manufacturing within the Nissan Group. His new position will be announced at a later date.   • Online pre-owned bike marketplace startup CredR expects to close raising of USD 15 million (around 95 crore) this month to fund its expansion and technology upgradation.The company, which is seed funded by Snapdeal Founders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal and K Ganesh's growth story is aiming to have presence in 15 cities by March, up from four at present."We are in the process of our next round of funding from some marque investors.   • Japanese carmaker Honda’s premium hatchback Jazz on Wednesday made a comeback in the Indian market with the company launching a third-generation version of the model priced between Rs 5.3 lakh and Rs 8.59 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).The car, which would compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Motor Elite i20, is powered by both petrol and diesel engines.(financial express)
  • Bajaj had discontinued the Discover 125 some time ago. Now the bike has been re-introduced in the market and has been priced at Rs. 52,002 (ex-showroom, Delhi).The refreshed Discover looks similar to the old bike except for the new graphics. It is powered by the same 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled DTS-i engine that produces 10.9 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 10.8 Nm of torque @ 5,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.   • Car market leader Maruti Suzuki on Wednesday announced opening of pre-launch bookings for its upcoming new model S-Cross.The S-Cross will be launched in early August and will be sold and delivered at the network of Nexa showrooms, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement.   • Honda has announced launch of its new motorcycle on July 10 and the teaser points towards the new premium commuter that’s been in the news of late. Honda Livo motorcycle which is touted to replace CB Twister at the higher end of the brand’s comprehensive range of 110 cc commuters is all set to be launched later this week.
