  • JCB India has set a production landmark by rolling out its 100,000th JCB ecoMAX engine in its fifth year of production.The company started manufacturing its own range of engines in India in 2011. According to the company, JCB ecoMAX engines are regarded as the most fuel efficient, reliable and productive engines available in the Indian market.“This is a remarkable achievement for JCB. It is a matter of great pride for us – our team of young men and women to roll out 100,000th Made-in-India ecoMAX engine from our facility at Ballabgarh.   •  Maruti Suzuki India's board is likely to take up this week finalisation of dates for voting by minority shareholders to allow parent Suzuki to own and invest in the upcoming Gujarat plant.The board of country's largest carmaker is also scheduled to meet on October 27 for consideration of its second quarter financial results among others.(Eauto)
  • Talking to the Indian media at Tokyo moments earlier, Katsushi Inoue, president and CEO, Honda Cars India, announced that the Honda BR-V 7-seat crossover SUV based on the Brio platform will be launched here in the next fiscal (After March 20, 2016).The SUV which world premiered at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show 2015 earlier this year would make its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2016 in February.(rushlane)
  • Bajaj Auto is all set to launch two new Avenger models in India on October 27, 2015. The two new Avengers will be – 220 Street and 220 Cruise. In fact, the company has begun the launch countdown on its official website with a promotional tagline of “Feel Like God”.   • Maruti Suzuki India is all set to flag off a new precedent – of exporting to its parent company Suzuki Motor Corp in Japan. The first model will be the premium Baleno hatchback that had its global launch in New Delhi on October 26. The second model to be marketed from the company’s premium Nexa showrooms, after the S-Cross that was launched this July and has sold 12,000 units so far, the Baleno comes in petrol and diesel options with the base VVT petrol Sigma model kicking off at an introductory price of Rs 499,000 with the  CVT petrol variant costing Rs 676,000.   • Two-wheeler major Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has crossed three lakh sales milestone during the Navratra-Dusshera period. Backed by overwhelming customer demand, HMSI breached the three lakh retail sales mark for the first time in 2015 during the Navratra-Dusshera period, the company said in a statement. (cartrade)
  • Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced that it will provide a fleet of 55 Camry Hybrid cars for transportation of the African Nation delegation during the 3rd India Africa Forum Summit (IAFS).
