  • Suzuki Motor Corp today said it will complete by 2017 a car factory at Gujarat, a state it selected for the investment for its good power and infrastructure."The company has selected Gujarat for its new facility because it has good infrastructure of roads and has abundant power supply," Suzuki Motor Corporation Chairman & CEO Osamu Suzuki said.   • Honda Mobilio MPV has expectedly outperformed Maruti Ertiga in terms of sales figures as soon as it arrived. The new comer saw over 10,000 bookings in just about 20 days after it was launched in India. 5,530 units of Honda Mobilio were sold in the month of August 2014 while Maruti Ertiga sold less than 5,491 units, as the figure includes Grand Vitara and Maruti Gypsy also.(rushlane.com)
  • Honeywell Turbo Technologies has partnered with Tata to develop their first ever petrol turbocharged engine. The new Tata Revotron 1.2T engine launched in the 2014 Tata Zest delivers improved power and torque and a multi-drive mode, according to a Honeywell statement.Honeywell's engineering teams in Pune and Bangalore leveraged local capabilities and global expertise in petrol turbo technologies to address the specific needs of a local customer.(ETauto.com)
  • According to a report from Autocar Professional, Mahindra has already started production of the new Scorpio anticipating heavy demand once the launch takes place next month.   • Tata Motors today received an order from KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation) to supply 487 nos. and another for 780 nos. from HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) for Tata Marcopolo built buses as per "Urban Bus Specifications" under JNNURM - II scheme.These orders are part of the over 2700 orders for Tata Motors 'URBAN' buses received under JnNURM - II scheme. (ETauto.com)

  • According to a report in the Financial Times today, Palmer will help Aston Martin to "regain lost ground" against rivals including Porsche, Ferrari and Bentley.
