  • With an eye on expanding its reach in the country, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India aims to add another 1,000 customer touch points in the current fiscal.The company, which has 25 per cent market share in the country's two-wheeler market, currently has 1,950 sales and service touch points, including dealerships, sub-dealerships and authorised service stations, spread across the nation.
  • BMW has officially confirmed that 7 Series ActiveHybrid will be launched in the Indian market on July 23. The 7 Series ActiveHybrid is the first 7 Series car ever to be offered with a hybrid system. The car was unveiled globally at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and the car to be sold here will get the 2014 updates.
  • Hero MotoCorp recently launched the Karizma ZMR and although the company is yet to send out an official press release stating the bike is now available for purchase, dealers have already started selling .
  • Indian auto maker, Tata Motors is looking at the bigger picture, ahead of launch of their much awaited contemporary models, Zest and Bolt, officials at Tata Motors have revealed their product strategy for domestic market. In a bid to enhance its visibility among various auto makers in India, Tata Motors has chalked out a new plan under which the company eyes launching new vehicles every year. This will go on until 2020, the models launched during these years will also appeal to the global markets. At present no details have been revealed on these upcoming products from Tata’s stable.
  • Officials at Tata Motors have hinted at the launch of Tata Nano AMT version to be happening next month. AMT version will be bestowed on the F-Tronic variant of the petite hatchback. Under the hood, the same low displacement 624cc engine will be equipped as seen in the regular model of Nano F-Tronic.
  • Dealerships across India have began accepting bookings for the new Hero Xtreme at Rs 1,000. The Xtreme will be available in five colours – black, red, silver, black-red and orange. The bike is based on the existing CBZ Xtreme model, with different styling cues that look far edgier than the current model. Among the features of interest on this new motorcycle are its headlight, indicators, LED tail-light, part-digital cluster with side stand indicator and new graphics.
